Kirtan with Cooper, Sapphron & Patrick
This will be a very special evening and we will be honored if you could join us. Patrick Richey is back in town and his caliber and style of tabla playing allows Cooper to sing all of the traditional Indian-style bhajans and Kirtans that he studied during his ten trips to India. The brilliant Sapphron Obois, with whom Cooper has been collaborating in his last few kirtans will also be joining us, adding her melodic Shakti to the evening. During this program, we will be sharing a variety of pieces from Mantras to Bhajans including call-and-response Kirtans. Many of you have expressed an interest in learning some authentic Indian vocal technique and this evening will include some opportunity for that type of sharing as well. Hope to see you there
